Class Offerings

 

Pre-Ballet (3-5 yrs. old), Wed 6:00 - 6:45 pm

One class per week. $75/month, Two classes per week, $150*/month, *$10 discount given when two classes per week in this level are taken.

This class encourages our youngest dancers who want to express their independence without the assistance of mom or dad. Your child will grow in confidence, improve motor skills, and gain musical awareness while having fun. Class sizes are kept very small to ensure plenty of individual attention for our youngest dancers. 

Pre-Ballet/Ballet I Sat 12:00 - 1:00 pm

$85/month

Ballet I imparts the fundamentals of classical ballet with a focus on basic technique, proper body alignment, ballet terminology derived from the French language, and musicality. Students will be introduced to elementary barre and center work. (Can be combined with Wednesday's Pre-Ballet class.

Ballet IA, Mon, 6:15 - 7:30 pm, $100/month

Basic skills learned in Ballet I are enhanced by applying more detail to the upper body, arms and feet. This class lays a strong foundation for older students who desire to take their technique to the next level, while receiving the basics they may have missed at an earlier age.

Ballet II, Tue 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm, Thur 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm, Sat 1:00 - 2:30 pm

$160/month

Basic skills learned in Ballet I are enhanced by applying more detail to the upper body, arms and feet. This class lays a strong foundation for students who desire to take their technique to the next level.

With this level, attention is paid to the proper extension of the legs and shape of the feet, developing movement sequences and balance. Single turns and advanced technique are introduced. This class meets twice a week.

Ballet III, Mon 7:30 - 9:00 pm, Wed 6:30 - 8:00 pm, Sat 1:00 - 2:30 pm 

$185/month

Designed for the advanced ballet student, this class will focus on fluidity of movement, mastering multiple turns, and the intricacies of small and large jumps. Students will learn the use of the upper body and discover the fine details of more complex foot work. This class meets three times a week. 

Pointe/Variations/Pas de Deux, Tue 8:00 – 9:00 pm, Wed 8:00 - 9:00pm, Thu 8:00 - 9:00pm, Fri 7:00 - 7:30pm

$100/month

Students will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working in pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work and across the floor combinations. 

Modern/Contemporary, Monday 6:30 – 8:00 pm, Saturday 11:15 am - 12:45 pm

$140/month

This class is designed to build a technique balanced by correct alignment, strength, flexibility, and musicality. Using elements from Horton and Graham disciplines, dancers explore the inner connections that are necessary for freedom and ease in creative, outward expression in today's dance environment. 

Tap II, Saturday 10:00 - 11:00 am

Tap I, Sat 11:00 am - 11:45 pm

Come dance to the rhythm! Students will have fun learning elemental tap techniques while progressing to more complex steps and choreography. 

Street Jazz, Friday 6:00 - 7:00 pm

Hip Hop / Fuzion Class, Wednesday 6:15 - 7:15 pm

Instructor Paloma Pressler started dancing at the age of five in her native Germany. At eight she began dancing hip hop, eventually joining a competitive crew and winning several European competitions. Since moving to Columbus, Ohio five years ago, Paloma earned her Zumba certification and now teaches a unique class combining hip hop and Zumba. Featuring the latest music and super easy, fun dance moves, this high-energy class is a great fit for any level - beginner to experienced dancer.

The Drop-in Rate is $11.00

Bring-a-friend and receive $2 off of your class upon your friend's first visit. If your friend continues with the class, you will receive a $1 discount for as long as your friend continues with the class. 

Registration

Accepting registrations throughout the 2017-2018 dance season. Students with previous training will take a placement class, and be placed in a level that is appropriate for the student’s age, experience, and potential.
