Class Offerings

Pre-Ballet (3-5 yrs. old), Wednesday 6:15 - 7:00 pm, Saturday 1:00 - 1:45 pm

This class encourages our youngest dancers who want to express their independence without the assistance of mom or dad. Your child will grow in confidence, improve motor skills, and gain musical awareness while having fun. Class sizes are kept very small to ensure plenty of individual attention for our youngest dancers. 

Ballet I (6 yrs. Old+), Wednesday 7:00 - 8:00 pm, Saturday 12:00 - 1:00 pm

Ballet I imparts the fundamentals of classical ballet with a focus on basic technique, proper body alignment, ballet terminology derived from the French language, and musicality. Students will be introduced to elementary barre and center work. 

Ballet IA, Saturday 12:00 - 1:00 pm

Basic skills learned in Ballet I are enhanced by applying more detail to the upper body, arms and feet. This class lays a strong foundation for students who desire to take their technique to the next level.

Ballet IA-II Combined, Friday 7:00 – 8:30 pm, Saturday 1:00 - 2:30 pm

Basic skills learned in Ballet I are enhanced by applying more detail to the upper body, arms and feet. This class lays a strong foundation for students who desire to take their technique to the next level.

With this level, attention is paid to the proper extension of the legs and shape of the feet, developing movement sequences and balance. Single turns and advanced technique are introduced. This class meets twice a week.

Ballet III, Tuesday 6:30 - 8:00 pm, Thursday 6:30 - 8:00 pm, Saturday 1:00 - 2:00 pm 

Designed for the advanced ballet student, this class will focus on fluidity of movement, mastering multiple turns, and the intricacies of small and large jumps. Students will learn the use of the upper body and discover the fine details of more complex foot work. This class meets three times a week. 

Pointe, Thursday 8:00 – 9:00 pm

Students will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working in pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work and across the floor combinations. 

Modern, Wednesday 7:30 – 9:00 pm, Saturday 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

This class is designed to build a technique balanced by correct alignment, strength, flexibility, and musicality. Using elements from Horton and Graham disciplines, dancers explore the inner connections that are necessary for freedom and ease in creative, outward expression. 

Tap, Saturday 10:00 - 11:00 am 

Come dance to the rhythm! Students will have fun learning elemental tap techniques while progressing to more complex steps and choreography. 

Street Jazz, Street Jazz I/II Monday 6:00 – 7:00 pm and Street Jazz III Friday 6:00 – 7:00 pm

In this fun, high-energy class students will be exposed to various styles of jazz and hip hop. This class will include warm-up, stretches, isolations, floor work, across the floor progressions, and combinations.

Registration

Accepting registrations throughout the 2016-2017 dance season. Students with previous training will take a placement class, and be placed in a level that is appropriate for the student’s age, experience, and potential.
